Design and Implementation of the Digital Strategy
Integrating technology refers to the use of digital technologies to help the students to learn and the teachers to teach.
Our digital strategy seeks to embed technology and digital learning tools in schools in order to enhance the learning experience and lifelong learning skills of the students.
The document sets out a vision for the role of technology in teaching, learning and assessment for school. It can change the way teachers teach and how students learn. Teachers will be encouraged to use technology in the classroom to:
- bring learning to life for students
- give learners the tools to collaborate
- examine engaging problems
- research and analyze information
- use resources to communicate their ideas and to share what they create with others.
The curriculum will be updated to embed digital learning. It will focus on developing digital learning skills and the use of technology in achieving learning outcomes at all levels of education.
The digital strategy will impact the continuum of teacher education from initial education through induction and continuing professional development.
It is therefore important that all stakeholders take a leadership role in identifying how technology can enhance our education system.
The Strategy has been developed around three key components.
